Extreme Art
June 3: Today the children will learn about Frank Llyod Wright’s Stained Glass. We will make our own stained Glass Crayons together as a class.
June 5: today our students will create a shirt design that showcases their own uniqueness. Then they will share their designs with the class.
June 6: Today we will make our own Extreme Abstract Torn Tissue Design.
June 10: Go away big Green Monster! Today the students will participate in art activities to realize they have nothing to fear from monsters. They will paint their monster using blot art.
June 12: Today we will learn and see pictures of amazing 3-d Chalk art done by Julian Beever and Kurt Wenner. We will then make our own 3-D masterpiece outside on the pavement.
June 13: If you think bubbles were just made for blowing your wrong. Today we are going to Paint with Bubbles.
June 17: Today we are making extreme glitter out of salt.
X Marks the Spot
June 19: Inky Magic! Today we are going to make our own secret message using wax and paint.
June 20: Think you’re the next Indiana Jones. Well bring your best thinking cap today students because we are going to hunt for a hidden treasure.
Build a Board
June 24: Today we are going to look at the coolest designs from major
Surfboard companies and then design our own.
June 26: Today we are going to make a piece of art for our annual art auction at the end of the summer. It will be a surfboard puzzle designed by Mrs. Amy’s and Mrs. Michelle’s class.
June 27: Ever wonder how surfboards float? Today we are going to do lots of experiments about why things float.
Balloons and Science
July 1: Both chemistry and cooking are about combing ingredients to create something different. Today we are going to use yeast and sugar to how when they combing they make a balloon inflate.
July 3: Balloon Magic! Today we are going to create energy using balloons.
Fourth of July
July 4- Today we will be making Fourth of July surfboards.
Stomp
July 8: Today we will learn about maracas and the history behind these percussion instruments. For art we will design our own Wood Maracas and paint them.
July 10: Today we will be making it rain inside our classroom through a science experiment and we will be designing our own Rain Stick.
July 11: Today we will paint to the beat of the music.
Bob the Builder
July 15: We all love bob the builder but today we are going to continue learning about Frank Lloyd Wright an amazing architect. Today we will challenge our student to build an architectural structure by only using 10 cups.
July 17: Sugar Cubes aren’t just for baking today we are going to build a building using only sugar cubes.
July 18: Today the students will be given Lego’s to build a skyscraper with.

July 22: Today the students will discover transportation and how they get from one place to the next using cars. Today for art we will paint wooden cars.
July 24: Today we are going to make Color Scratch Cars.
July 25: Today we are going to become NASCAR drivers and race our wooden cars through the school.
Extreme Science
July 29: Today we are going to learn the science behind how a kite flies. Along with that we will be making our own kites and flying them outside.
July 31: Today we will become captains as we build a sailboat and watch it sail across the pond.
August1: Surfing is an ancient sport with a history that goes back hundreds of years. Today we will learn how are waves formed and which waves are the best for surfing?
