CURRENT NEWSLETTER:

·         The children and I brainstormed Tuesday to decide what we would like to begin learning about.  The children suggested the following topics: “Ducks,” “Goose,” “Hide & Seek,” and “Poop.”  Because there were several requests for “Duck” and “Goose,” we ultimately decided to go with a very generic topic of “ANIMALS!”  As we begin exploring this topic, we may narrow our lessons to one particular type of animal (i.e., ducks, birds).  Until then, I encourage you to send in any items (books, CD’s, visual aids, etc.) which pertain to animals.   

• We have begun using a “Buddy System” in our classroom!  When we go anywhere outside of the classroom (bathroom, playground, pond, etc.) we now find our buddy and hold their hand.  The children are encouraged to help their buddy if they are in need.  I’m hoping our “Buddy System” will foster friendship, teamwork and kindness.  Buddies are as follows:

·         If you haven’t had a chance to check out our class pages yet on the school website, make sure to take a look soon!  I’ve added photos as well as stories written by the kids.  I will continue to update our pages on a regular basis.  The school’s website is www.christianlifeschoolokc.com.

·         REMINDER:  If you have not yet been able to send in your family photo, please do so soon.  If you don’t have a group family photo, feel free to send in a handful of photos of each family member.  I can “scrap” them together in a small grouping.  The children are so proud to see and share their family’s faces every day!
